Source System Definition

This field is the identification number of the canceled claim and is only used on cancel and adjustment transactions. It provides a cross-reference number for the control and monitoring of specific claims, and to differentiate between claims for the beneficiary. This is a unique field created by the system when a match is found during the re-imaging process and is located on claim page 2 as the AD.DCN.
